The NUS Literary Society is open to all NUS undergraduates. As a Society who is passionate about the literary, we engage in a variety of platforms ranging from organizing the annual Creative Writing Competition (CWC), to an Evening of Poetry and Music (EPM), to local collaborations with similarly passionate organizations in events.
The scope, magnitude and number of events and endeavours that the Society can be engaged in, is determined by strength of the Society.
As a member of the NUS Literary Society, you’ll be amongst peers who are passionate about the Literary, and intimately involved with the local literary scene. You’ll be given opportunities to play the roles of organizing events/activities/competitions, and helping out in the various activities.
If you’re interested and keen in being part of the Literary Society, we have two exciting subcommittees available – publicity and publications.
The publicity subcomm is headed by the Hon Gen Secretary, where you’ll be helping and directing the publicity efforts of our events (both campus and off-campus).
The publications subcomm is headed by the Publications Executive, where you’ll be part of a core team of people working towards a new online publication, due to be published within the academic year.
If both subcomms are not what you’re looking for, and you wish to be part of the Litsoc, you may sign on as an ordinary member who’ll be kept updated of our events. Your help will be very much needed in running many (if not all) of our events.
We look forward to seeing you be part of a vibrant, and growing Literary community
